[attr="class","likedotitle2"]CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
[attr="class","likedoinfo"]This first section will go over the purchases you can add to an existing character for sake of development! Items and their costs will be listed below~.
REMEMBER: normal characters may have up to a total of 6 types attached to their characters, with the initial 2 being free of charge upon creating a character if you so wish. Should you wish to add types to a character that had previously been someone untouched by any experiments, then type additions will still require a fee. Alongside Vhan amounts, characters are required to have their existing types at specific stages prior to accessing a new type. These requirements are as displayed below:
1st and 2nd Types: 200 Vhan each. Only applicable to characters with 1 or less existing types applied to them. No type ranking goals are required.
3rd Type: 350 Vhan. 1 type must be upgraded to 'Advanced', and the other must be upgraded to at least 'Skilled'.
4th Type: 400 Vhan. 1 type must be upgraded to 'Advanced', and the remaining 2 must be upgraded to at least 'Skilled'.
5th Type: 450 Vhan. 2 types must be upgraded to at least 'Advanced', and the remaining 2 must be upgraded to at least 'Skilled'.
6th Type: 500 Vhan. 1 type must be upgraded to at least 'Mastery', 3 types must be upgraded to at least 'Advanced', and the remaining 1 type must be upgraded to at least 'Skilled'.
Please note that any new type additions will automatically be added as a 'Novice' ranking as far as character skill goes. Purchases will be finalized in your own, completed transaction thread, but type implements won't be finalized until your character finishes an in character interaction with a staff-controlled scientist to help your character through the type addition process and surgery, as well as the testing followups that will follow.
Types can, in fact, be replaced! ...Of course, they have to be traded for another type through surgical means. Upon purchase, the staff member who accepts your purchase will begin an in character thread with the character whose type you decided to replace. Staff will play the role of a scientist who will help your character with the type shifts, and after a small, surgical session (or maybe even a timeskip to bypass the process), the same staff member will have your character run through a series of simple tests that are more or less a little 'tutorial phase' for your character. These tests will help you get a feel for your new type, and to introduce you to the capabilities that come with it.
Please note that any types purchased to replace another will automatically start back at the 'Novice' rank. In the event that you feel that a type exchange wasn't the best move, you will be required to purchase another type replacement. Any types that were formerly associated with a character and were brought back after the necessary replacements will automatically start at 'Novice', as well, so be careful with your type decisions! If you were formerly a Berserker at 'Mastery' ranking, and then switched to a Hybrid or any other type - only to find out that the new type wasn't that character's speed - replacing the new type back to the Berserker type will not set you back at the former 'Mastery' ranking that you had before, and you will have to start upgrading it from scratch.
Of course, faceclaims come and go, and some are of varying popularity. If you have a faceclaim that you want to use in the future, but feel as if it may get snagged before you can appropriately use it, then never fear! With this, you can purchase permanent reserves for one faceclaim of your choice.
This reserve is separate from the free, two-at-a-time reservations that you can make for a two week period.
Forever reserves are limited to one per player. They will be associated with your OOC alias in order to keep track.
When a forever faceclaim is eventually used for a character, players will be required to purchase this once more in order to permanently reserve another claim.
Found a better faceclaim for your character? Purchase this and feel free to change it, then! After purchase, make sure to change your character account's images as necessary, and update their claim within the faceclaims thread~.
Now, characters are obviously capable of having their own residences wherever they want in character- but if you want a specific board to be build for your character, then by all means, go ahead and make your purchase! When filling out the purchase form, just make sure to state which of the residential districts you'd like your character's residence board to be built within the extra information.
Self explanatory, no? Here, you're able to purchase a faction switch for your character- but know that you can only purchase this once for each character. Once a character converts, they can't convert back, nor can they join another faction afterwards. This is a one-time purchase for each character, and will not be refunded under any circumstances, so be careful when purchasing faction switches!
